i spent a good portion of the day watching movies.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
i didn't think i would enjoy this so much, but i liked it. i even laughed several times... also, i watched Sense and Sensibility recently. alan rickman (professor snape) plays one of the romantic leads in that movie. it's very odd. can you imagine a romantic character with professor snape's slow, slurred speech? (giving you time to imagine) he's actually very endearing... anyway, it's not a bad movie. kate winslet is in it. i like kate winslet.

I'm so not a raper.

Say Anything
this viewing was long overdue. i suppose the basic plot isn't extraordinary. it's actually like a lot of other 80's chick flicks: Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, etc. -- basically, it's about a guy and a girl from different cliques/backgrounds who fall in love and have to overcome obstacles. i suppose what makes it extraordinary is the peter gabriel scene. i'll admit, it's probably the best scene. (here's the trailer; song below)
i finally watched all of 27 Dresses. it felt like watching a hybrid of The Wedding Planner and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. and since i'll admit i have a love/hate relationship with romantic comedies, i can say one of my favorite movie lines does come from The Wedding Planner -- those who can't wed, plan!
so, 27 Dresses: it wasn't altogether horrible. the boat scene towards the end was rather gag-tastic, but would it be deemed a chick flick/romantic comedy if that scene were not in there? ... anyway, the reason why it's actually blog-worthy is because of the final wedding scene.
i love katherine heigl's hair.
i wanted a yellow wedding when i was in hs.
pretty, huh? =)

on a totally separate note: i discovered spencer day today. i really like his song "My Oh My". you can listen to it here (album: movie of your life > song: my oh my).
my mom was telling me and my dad about how she got a bunch of driving tickets.
Mom: now i always make sure i STOP at the stop signs and check for police.
i'm sure that's why stop signs were made, mom.

Amy: dad, do you feel old? Dad: yeah. Amy: me too. Dad: WHAT?! i'm going to kill you! Amy: O.O ... did you just say you're going to kill me?!! Dad: YES. you make ME feel old. if you think you're old, that makes me old old old OLD...
